Lamborghini stands with Italy through tough times because they think that Furroccio Lamborghini’s Birthday was on Wednesday and he looks down with a smile. While making 1,400 surgical masks and 300 medical shields each day, they also found time to build the world’s first analog lung simulator.
Production on protective gear will continue even while the assembly line restarts on Monday. To celebrate the triumph of Italy over the virus, an all-new Lamborghini will be released on Thursday. This dedication is unmatched in the automotive world, so that is why you need a Lamborghini for yourself.
Automobili Lamborghini is expected to resume its manufacturing activities from 4th may, according to the decree of 26th April issued by the Italian Prime Minister, the premium car company said on Thursday.
Lamborghini is currently completing all initial measures to ensure their people return to work in conditions of maximum safety during COVID-19 pandemic. While their activities were temporarily suspended, The Sant-Agata Bolognese company replanning some of its departments to produce medical masks and visor for St. Orsola Hospital in Bologna has formed a relationship with SIARE Engineering International Group for the co-development and breathing simulator manufacturing. The organization had said this
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented:”We are ready to restart with great energy, but also with strict protocols for safeguarding what is most precious to us: the safety of our people. This priority is why we were the first Italian automotive company to close and continues to be our guiding principle for a well-reasoned and safe recovery, because we still have not won the battle against COVID-19. We will constantly monitor the contagion’s evolution and be ready to adjust our protocols in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Italian government and the Emilia-Romagna Region, which we would like to thank for their support during this sensitive phase.”
“We continue to nurture the dreams of our fans and customers, and on 7 May, we will be presenting a new car to complete our model range through a virtual launch. Given the situation we closed the first quarter of 2020, with very good performances. We want to ensure our rapid return to a leadership role from these tests, delivering our vehicles once again as soon as our dealers around the world reopen for business.”
This information was given by the CEO and Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, Stefano Domenicali.
Supercar Company Lamborghini has suspended its enterprises since 13th of march, so being the first automotive company to temporarily block production before the stop imposed by the Italian government.
The will to act in the name of maximum social responsibility has been paired with the need to actively respond to the local health emergency. Therefore, Lamborghini has converted its upholstery department, the CFRP factory and R&D in order to produce surgical masks and 3D printed protective shields for medical staff, as well as to provide resources and equipment for the co-engineering and production of breathing simulators. Lamborghini has suspended, it has not stopped. Even in these isolating and sad times, it is important to continue fostering the (now virtual) relationship with customers through the Unica App and with fans and enthusiasts via Social Media channels, by launching the social media campaign #stayathome. Exceptional images of Lamborghinis parked in a garage received from customers and fans have been populating Lamborghini’s feeds, and the lockdown is still going on, so you know what you can do.
Supercar Automobile Company Lamborghini is converting some of their department of its production plant in Sant’Agata in order to produce surgical masks and protective medical shields for one of the Hospital in Bologna, which is involved in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, in collaboration with the University of Bologna. The Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences will oversee validation testing of the medical devices made by Lamborghini, prior to their delivery to the hospital.
The production, commences at Lamborghini’s production plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The face masks are produced by the workers who are in charge of the interior and customization of Huracan and Aventador units. The production target is 1,000 masks a day. During production of masks, 250 protective medical shields in polycarbonate a day will be made inside the composites production plant and at the Research and Development department with the use of 3D printers.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented: “During an emergency such as this one, we feel the need to make a concrete contribution. We have therefore decided to support the Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital, an institution with which we have had a collaborative relationship for years, through both professional consultancy in promoting programs to protect our workers’ health, and in research projects. We will win this battle together by working in union, supporting those who are at the forefront of fighting this pandemic every day.”
The Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini (28th April 1916-20th February 1993) who was the founder of the company that deliver his name and is known for stylish, high-performance and super cars, was born in Italy. He was born to a family of grape farmers makes it all the more impressive that he grew up to become known as an engineering genius whose name today, as it was during his life, is synonymous with speed, style, wealth, and the exotic cars carrying his name.
The story goes he ran into some trouble with his Ferrari and wanted to confront Enzo with his issues that meeting didn’t go down smoothly and Ferruccio decided to start building his own cars. He bought a large section of land in the industrial part of Sant’Agata and had a brand new factory built to his specifications so he could build the best GT cars in the world which world had ever seen and so the history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA started in 1966. At the age of 47 Ferruccio entered the automotive arena.
The first production car to leave the gates in Sant’Agata was the Lamborghini 350 GT, a very nice two seater GT with a large V12 engine in the front. That car was years ahead of anything the competition offered back in 1964, but the car that really made the Lamborghini name known in the entire automotive world was the beautiful lambo muira which released in 1966 and the milestones just kept coming from Automobili Lamborghini SpA.
The Lamborghini Countach was kept in production for almost 20 years before the Diablo would take over the reign as the V12 flagship from Sant’Agata, by that time Automobili Lamborghini SpA was owned by Chrysler. Ferruccio was given the opportunity to drive the new Diablo in the early Nineties before he passed away on February 20, 1993 two months before he would turn 77.
The rest is history, and he would have been 104 years old now. Happy Birthday Ferruccio Lamborghini and thank you for creating the supercar industry.
Back in 2013 Automobili Lamborghini SpA was celebrating her 50th anniversary, and several special cars were built to commemorate this event, like the Aventador LP7204 in either Coupe or Roadster form, but also the extremely rare Lamborghini Veneno based on the Aventador chassis but completely redesigned into a LeMans lookalike racer, but still street legal worldwide.
At an MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) of €3,000,000 (Rs.24.4 Cr) before taxes, you might think they had trouble selling the Veneno, but with only three made available to the public, they were all sold out before they even saw the car at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show which probably made the Lamborghini marketing department eager to try this again. So in October 2013, they published a press release on the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, taking the impressive design of the Veneno Coupe into a real Roadster, they didn’t even bother to design a roof for the Veneno Roadster.
As all three of the Veneno Coupe sold out so quickly, so Lamborghini decided to build nine Roadster for customers, at a 10% premium over the closed version, so at €3,300,000 each (about USD 4,500,000 back in 2013) could get hold of an open-top super car with race car styling, and this time the customer could decide on the exterior shade and livery on the Coupe, they had to go for a metallic grey called ‘Metalluro’ and settle for subtle touches of either green, white or red.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster was introduced on the deck of an aircraft carrier in Dubai, finished in a stunning dark red metallic shade that looked close to the one seen on the Aventador J in 2012, but as mentioned earlier, customers could order their Veneno Roadster in any shade they liked, so they got to see glossy black, green, white. one customer even ordered a full carbon fiber body with a satin finish (absolutely stunning) and a Nero Nemesis as seen on this specific Veneno Roadster that went to auction in Paris in February 2020.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is already a wild supercar, both in appearance which is so sharp in design and performance which can be defined by his roar. However, that didn’t stop NOVITEC from taking the SVJ a step further through a newly developed program made specifically for the Italian supercar.
NOVITEC modified all new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
Within this new program are new components that serve both form and function. The aerodynamically-driven carbon components for the exterior were refined during wind tunnel testing and work with the active aero system. NOVITEC also dropped the ride height of the Aventador SVJ by 35 mm with new sport springs. For sound and performance, NOVITEC has a few different exhaust systems that can save up to 41.8 pounds.
The weight loss was achieved by swapping out the stock exhaust system and replacing it with a custom stainless setup developed by NOVITEC with or without actively controlled flaps to modify the V12’s soundtrack. According to the tuner, the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter mill breathes better now and delivers a more exciting note throughout the rpm range as you can hear in the video attached at the bottom. Metal catalysts can be had to go with the custom exhaust to perform the diet and improve performance.
Two months before the Lamborghini Sián Hybrid debuted ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show, and its details are stunning. Sián translates to ‘Lightning Bolt’ in their Northern Italian dialect. The name is appropriate because it uses their traditional V12 paired with super capacitors. Smaller and lighter than any battery, capacitors can discharge all their power at an instant, adding 34 metric horsepower when needed. We haven’t seen a prototype because the technology was hidden in normal looking Lamborghini Aventador.
Another advantage of the capacitors is that they are instantly charged every time the brakes are used. The power boost is goes up to 80 mph if you need to merge onto the highway in style. Capacitors are used around your home to start the A/C compressor, refrigerator, and other high load devices.
For an electrifying style, their central styling department (Centro Stile) partnered with Lamborghini’s Ad Personal department. The reason for the inclusion of their custom shop is because only 63 cars will be built. The prototype will be unveiled in Frankfurt wearing Verde Gea and Oro Electrum base coats with several layers of clear and metal flake.
Converting their metric specs to SAE, the car has an output of 807 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque to the AWD system. This gives it a better power-to-weight ratio than the Aventador SVJ. Of course, the 63 owners have already placed their deposits, but their dealers have several Aventador models to choose from.
Lamborghini preview a new Urus ST-X will appear during the 2020 Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final in Misano, Italy on October 31 to November 1. At the same time, the Italian automaker also took the URUS ST-X to the track for the very first time. Driving the Super SUV was none other than nine-time Motocross Champion Tony Cairoli.
The Urus ST-X is Lamborghini’s upcoming Super SUV that will be entering the world of racing. In fact, Lamborghini will have races designed specifically for the Urus ST-X, with the first one taking place during the 2020 World Finals in Misano Adriatico. The drivers in this race will actually be comprised of winners of the four classes of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and motorsport celebrities.
As for the Urus ST-X itself and it’s specifics, it’s a beast of an SUV. Its beating heart is a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Lamborghini also dropped the weight of the Urus ST-X by 25 percent when compared to a stock Urus.
A new 12-cylinder Lamborghini hypercar is coming soon, the Italian automaker announced during the Lamborghini Squadra Corse during the World Finals in Jerez de la Frontera. Lamborghini announced that the new hypercar will be fully revealed in this year 2020.
It will be a track-only model developed by Squadra Corse and design by the Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The press release regarding the car announced that it will be powered by a 6.5-liter V12 that produces 830 horsepower. Other notable announcements regarding the hypercar’s specifics include the inclusion of a large rear wing, roof air scoop, and 6-speed sequential Xtrac transmission. Unfortunately, the only look i have at the car can be found up above.
